Living according to the Gospel can be challenging, especially when we are subjected to the constant pressure of the world around us.
Yet, throughout our salvation history we see a pattern where God raises up people who are weak and broken to be a light to the world. He raised a shepherd boy named David to be a king, a stutterer named Moses to lead a nation out of captivity and a persecutor of faith like St. Paul to be a follower and martyr for Christ.
St John Paul II reminded us that “the springs of divine power gush forth precisely in the midst of human weakness”.
Therefore, we can take heart that God will raise us up too, for His grace is sufficient for us and His power is being made perfect in our weakness!
In a world where we have to hope against hope – let us believe, that at all times, Jesus Christ is still the answer!
“That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Cor 12:10
